The Idaho Promise was created to connect Idaho’s business priorities with the everyday realities of Idaho families. It recognizes that a strong economy depends on strong communities, and that opportunity must be within reach for every Idahoan. The program exists to elevate the voices of citizens, employers, and local leaders who believe in building Idaho’s future from the ground up.
Its initial focus is on three essential pillars of economic stability:
Education, where programs like Idaho LAUNCH have expanded access to training and college for thousands of students.
Workforce Housing, where Idaho needs more than 25,000 affordable units to help teachers, service workers, and first responders live where they work.
Childcare, where lack of availability and high costs continue to keep parents out of the labor force.
Together, these priorities form the foundation of The Idaho Promise, an effort to ensure that hard work in Idaho leads to opportunity, stability, and a thriving life at home.
